IE7 Review

Internet Explorer 7 is out and is pushing the boundaries of Web 2.0. Many web-site owners are catching the hint and realising that now, if ever, is the time to update. The marketshare catch-up game is one. Can Internet Explorer reclaim it’s lost land against Firefox or will Firefox carry on collecting thousands of new users every day? Let’s look at what the new version of Internet Explorer has to offer. Well, for starters, Microsoft has added extra support for JavaScript and has finalized their anti-phishing filter. The tabbed browsing is a godsend and the inclusion of a RSS reader, somewhat similar to Firefox’s make IE7 all the better. The print-preview works like a dream and the in-built search is decent enough. Unfortunately, IE7 fails to add anything extra to the Internet Browser equation and is very similar to Firefox. In turth, Firefox 2 is looking alot more promising. Still, plenty of big, Web 2.0 orientated sites are backing Microsoft, and there’s no reason Profy shouldn’t be either. Download it yourself here.
