SpikeSource Opens up More Open Source possibilities

SpikeSource Inc is expanding into Europe, with a new relationship tie-in with NEC Corp and Alfresco Software Inc. There are also other partners such as LinuxIT Europe, CorraTech and Linagora in France, dri in Portugal, Outdare in the Netherlands, and Menta and Xeokydo in Germany, as well as UK distribution company Interactive Ideas to spur things up. By having all these joint ventures, SpikeSource can be a virtual service provider, working with regional and international service providers, and providing a link between open source vendors and the service providers. SpikeSource takes an application, which is integrated into a turnkey solution and delivers it to channel partner, which is the trusted provider and provides the front-line support. So we expect to see more open sourced Web 2.0 services coming out.
