Google Search Gets Personal (Kinda)

The guys over at Techcrunch pointed me to the release of a personalized (and customizable) search engine offered to site owners and bloggers by Google. The whole idea seems strangely similar to what they’ve already had for localized (one’s own website) and web search, but perhaps there’s something going on there that has been uncharted ‘til now.
It goes to show how little fanfare items like these stir up around the net, when you realize that nearly identical services are offered by Yahoo! and ‘indie’ operations like Rollyo and Eurekster.
Google might get more attention than its competitors in this area for the sole reason that it’s tacking on a share of Adsense revenue to those who utilize Co-Op. Sure, news like this doesn’t call for celebration, but if there’s a way for you to make more dough in more ways via the algorithmic genius of Google, why not?
