Tagnautica – Related Flickr Search App

A very nice, very well presented Flickr toy from Quasimono, Tagnautica lets you search Flickr with the touch of a button. You simply click in the center of the screen, and type away! When you’ve chosen a word or a phrase that you want to search, hit enter and let the graphical treat ensue. A circle should appear around your chosen word. Hover over any one of these mini-circles within the circle which contains related words and an image will pop up to greet you.
You can then click on this image to move it into the centre and get related words around this image, and the process goes on. Clicking on the middle word will open up a new page showing all Flickr pictures tagged with the word. Essentialy the application is just a faster, graphical version of Flickr Search Clusters. Still, anything with this kind of Web 2.0 promise and usability behind it definitely deserves a mention!
