University teaching students Web 2.0

colbertlow,

IBM and University of Arizona work together by sharing their knowledge in the business world by teaching how to actually create and run businesses around social network technologies such as blogs, wikis, BitTorrent sites and podcasts. It is believed that by gaining skills on Web 2.0 and online communities, students can help businesses and employer’s better market and sell themselves using powerful online mediums. The Univeristy of Arizona will be the first to offer ‘Web 2.0 courses’. IBM wants to prepare students to fill the demand for a community manager as social networking is growing. At least this is better than teaching students how to code in boring HTML.
