Digg in Acquisition Talks
October 26, 2006 |
I know most of you use Digg on a daily business just for the sheer chance at getting over 10,000 unique visitors to your web site in an hour if you get to the home page. Today, the startup is in discussions with many companies, including News Corp., (which purchased MySpace last year and tried to get into the Google YouTube deal earlier this month) who wants to acquire the web start up that reports getting over 20 million unique visitors monthly.
There is no word yet about how discussions are going; however if Digg does not get an offer in the $150-$175 million range that they are looking for, chances are they will start their second round of financing.
