Ajax for the Common Coder

You can’t have Web 2.0 without Web 2.0 development, can you? In that case, if you’re a developer looking for a pool of usefuls, you’ll find Ajax goodies galore over at Real World Software Development.

Ajax, short for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, has contributed enormously to what we now consider the new generation of web apps (spiffy email clients, integrated real-time web page aggregation services, etc.), so much so that your survival as a designer/coder depends on your knowing the ins and outs of these evolving languages.

Even if you’re a complete novice, and curious to get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into places like Netvibes, this is a good resource to explore the trade and even get your feet wet without getting in over your head. Of course, there are countless Ajax-centric forums and utility hubs out there already, and their number is clearly booming, but I’m a fan of keeping things simple, so here’s a list for beginners and experts alike to get cozy with.
