LuLu - Book publishing made easy.

LuLu.com, aside from meaning ‘ReadRead.com’ in French is a great book self-publishing service which just so happens to be free. You write a book, upload it to LuLu and people can buy it straight away. LuLu does all of the printing, meaning that you just have to set a price. LuLu deduct a percentage of what you make as a fee for the ‘on-demand’ printing service, but you get the majority of the profits made from your book. Your book, when approved, will instantly get added to the LuLu marketplace, allowing for thousands of potential buyers to see your book and purchase it. It’s not just paperback and hardback versions of your book that become available though! You can choose for a ‘download’ option as well. This is cheaper, but you get a higher percent of the profit. The only downside to the website though, is that there are many holes in it that are easy to exploit. I myself, in a matter of minutes managed to find a workaround in the URL which allowed me to greet people with a certain message on a certain page. Click here to see it. Generally though, LuLu is great if you’re just starting out! If however you are planning to do a mass scale eBook, then having your own website, and software like Clickbooth really pays off.
