Make Your Own Pop-Up Video or Subtitles with Mojiti
November 24, 2006 |

A new start-up in Beijing has created a service which many have been waiting for a long time – Mojiti.?? This video services will take any video presently on YouTube, Google Video, Dailymotion,??Revver and a list of other familiar hosts and allow you to easily add annotations or translation to the video as an overlay.?? This overlay can then be put on your blog or website as easily as the original video.
I tried the service out with the following video.?? It’s a Japanese version of the PC vs. Mac campaign popular in
the States.?? Since the humor is very universal, you can see this simple translation really helps the viewing experience.
The service is free but there is a caveat.?? If you leave large amounts of the video with no annotation, Mojiti will add its own with sponsor links.?? If every second is used with your annotations, then no other links or advertising is shown.
I think Eric Feng has done a super job with this application.?? After connecting with him I gave him a few suggestions of video services I’d like to see and he was very obliging.?? As of this post, I’m still waiting for Blip.TV to be included, which Eric says is on the way.?? Cool!
