New Features on Profy

Today we have upgraded Profy website by adding the following new features:

Job Board

We have decided that we at Profy have gathered people from both sides in our community: Web 2.0 companies and Web 2.0 professionals. We have decided that there might be cases when we can help them meet and benefit from their participation in Profy community. So we invite all the Web 2.0 companies to create profiles for their companies in our Directory and start posting the jobs in our job board – it is absolutely free. When a job is added, it will appear in the profile of the company.

As a professional, you can subscribe to the RSS feed for the Job Board and receive notifications when new jobs are opened at Profy. It is also possible to send a job that you find to a friend when you feel that the friend could be an exact fit for the position. Applying for the jobs is free for professionals as well as posting the jobs is free for companies. We do hope it will provide you with new professional opportunities.

Events Calendar

It is now possible to add Web 2.0-related events to our calendar – stating the time, dates, location and topic for the event. You can add information about launches of new products, conferences, workshops – whatever relevant events you may think of. The Events Calendar is also integrated with companies’ profiles – an event added by this or that company will be shown in the company’s profile. It is also possible to subscribe to RSS feed for the events added by Profy users.

Major Changes at Buzz:

• Voting system added.
• It is now possible to sort the links posted by Profy users to Buzz both by date and by popularity (the links can be shown for today, for one week, one month, one year – or you can also look at all the links available in the Buzz)
• RSS feed added for Buzz

I do hope you will benefit from these new features. I can say that now any company’s profile contains all the relevant information about the company, including posts on Profy, news from the Buzz section, jobs posted by the company in our Job Board and events it added to the Events Calendar. We believe that this will help owners of Web 2.0 companies and Web 2.0 professionals meet and find all the useful information in one place – here on Profy. And as always you are welcome with your feedback about the new features if you think they can be improved or amended. I also invite your comments if you think some other features should be added to Profy.
