Build Your Own Start Page Anywhere
by
on January 18, 2007,

It is no secret that Yourminis is a preferred start page for several Profy authors - me included. That is why I am happy to cover their recent release.
Several minor changes have been done to all the individual minis: they enhanced the drop down menus, the color picker and embedding standardized buttons. But the thing that is really worth mentioning is something that can really change your online presence almost everywhere - on your blog, MySpace, Facebook or Friendster profiles - at least everywhere where you can embed some code.
To do this, you should simply pick any mini, configure it (content, text and theme color, size, etc.) and then click on the edit drop-down in the mini and select “copy mini to web” - you will be given the embed code that you can now put into your personal page.

And the mini is published for you - wherever you want it to be. It is also interesting that when the mini is placed on your page, your visitors will be able to copy it in the same way and add it to their pages as well. I have tried it - it is as simple as described. So you can even copy a widget for Profy blog feed below:
So from now on you can create your personalized start page almost anywhere - all for yourself. And all about yourself, if you like: use widgets for your Flickr photos and YouTube videos, feeds of your favorite blogs and widget for your Gmail mail - it can be almost anything. Is not it the reason to stop thinking over which start page is the best - because for you it will be your own, of course.
