BubblePLY - Now Playing

PRWEB - January 18, 2007 - BubblePLY.com just launched by PLYmedia, will allow users to make creative additions to existing online videos. The site is attracting a lot of attention since its launch as users enjoy adding humorous comments and informative facts or messages to their favorite videos.
The bubble generator makes it easy to insert bubble comments onto any video. The neat tool can be utilized to describe products in video, insert subtitles in different languages and personalized messages. Media companies can create their own content specifically for use with BubblePLY. Bubble-Greeting is a personalized greeting card aspect recently made by comedian Paul Wagner from the CreativeLab TV.
This new site works off on an innovative technology where transparent layers (PLY) are placed on top of video. The layers do not infringe on the original content, and the owner's rights are not abused as the video is not altered, edited, or copied. The bubbles resemble comic strip comments, and can explain or enhance the underlying video. The company intends to add pictures and sounds to the new application. It is not necessary to download these videos, and they can be embedded or shared through a unique URL.
PLYmedia services community sites and enables their users to create "PLYs" on top of any online video player. The technology can be added to any web site in a matter of hours.
The Take!
This is a cute little program! But it does leave a lot to be desired though. I do like the site however, and the bubbles are fun to play around with. The site does have its possibilities, and if the developers are imaginative in the future, users may be able to add even more creativity to high end video.
Actually, the "PLYs" resemble the transparent overlays I raved so much about at Joost, and I am sure we are going to see more of these cool creations in the future. Perhaps MySpace will even take my advice and make their add banners with the "PLY" technology. Hey! BubblePLY should hook up with Myspace! Remember you heard it here first!
I created a funny little addition to an already funny video courtesy BubblePLY. Enjoy!
