Graffiti All Over The Web!

Phil Butler,

Watch Shakira DemoVidavee.com announced the release of Graffiti, an innovative technology that allows users to communicate via Internet video (Hmm!). The service allows users to comment, add content to or brand video in seconds. All the user has to do is paste the URL of a video into Graffiti and then add text bubbles, animations, captions, external links or any image. Graffiti generates the code that can be pasted into a web page, blog or anywhere the user has privileges. Users can make Internet video with unlimited possibilities for commentary and customized personalization according to this release.

Graffiti is a simple demonstration of Vidavess's deep technology (what is deep technology?) that allows groups, individuals and business to create messages for the world. I should have written their press release, deep-deep-deep technology does not evoke confidence. Sorry, I can't help myself!

About Vidavee- The Company's products are a collection of web widgets, API and on-demand services. These widgets include a patented vtag feature that allows unique tagging, sharing and video social networking capabilities. The rich technology (is that the same as deep technology or is it keyword SEO) allows the use of interactive, dynamic insertion of ads directly into the video stream providing advertising techniques that are less intrusive to viewers. The Vidavee patented technology allows clients to integrate video into business offerings and provides new revenue and market opportunities for them.

Beta - Graffiti is another cool video editing/alteration service along the lines of BubblePLY, which I covered earlier this year. You can't help but like these cool tools for creating, placing and sending video to friends or sharing them with the world for that matter. Graffiti's UI is actually simpler and faster to use than many of the other similar services, and I like the non-obtrusive simplicity of the service. Essentially, a user can add any snippet of information on the web to any clip on the web with this simple tool.

Graffiti is very simple to use and there is no download necessary, you just start pasting effects and comments right onto imported video. Unlike BubblePLY, Graffiti does not appear to manage a data base of created video just yet, but appears to be adding that capability. Graffiti does capture your creation so that their analytics can categorize, store and further analyse your viewing preferences. At least that is what the Vidavee is promoting to potential business customers.

You have to give these guys credit for innovating new ways to track teenagers. I expect Web companies will scamper for the data once the user fan base is large enough to compile significant data for marketing purposes. I expect all the snappy little programs out there are looking for an ad dollar in one way or another, so we really can't hold this against Graffiti either. The service is very Web 2.0 in its simplicity and function, and it is fun too.
