edgeio Launches edegio Classified Boards

on February 23, 2007,
edgeio has launched edgeio Classified Boards, a customizable service for web site and blog owners to add their own classified listing boards to their sites. The concept is straightforward; just create an account, agree to the Terms of Service, and start creating your board. edgeio handles all the transaction fees via PayPal or credit card processing, and edgeio keeps 20% of the listing fee, which includes their profit as well as transaction fees.
edgeio Classified boards allows for multiple boards per web site, as well as options for free or paid listings and setting up your own affiliate network for additional earning opportunities. Everything about the edgeio Classified Boards is left up to the user, from setting your own listing and affiliate rates to the type of listings you want to include on your site.
All listings posted are viewable at both your own site as well as the master edgeio Classified Boards, increasing visibility with ease. The set-up is fast and easy, with a clean look and easy-to-read dashboard for at-a-glance administration.
This new offering from edgeio seems to do a great job putting control in the hands of the site owner. With so much customization allowable in the application, a site owner can use the boards for anything they can dream up. I'm looking forward to seeing various implementations on sites to see what the idea can do in the hands of various Web 2.0 aficionados.

I like http://www.verticlans.com better. Same type of service, but easier to set up and use.
