RobotReplay.com - The Next Generation of Web Analytics

killerStartups.com,

robotreplay logoRobotReplay is a web analytics tool that allows you to check out what your users are doing on your website. It allows you to see the actual mouse gestures so that you can see where they spend most of their time and if they seem to get lost at any part on the page. It also allows you to see users fill out the forms on your pages, following them into login-protected spots on the site, allowing you to see all parts of their experience on your site.

What makes this program unique is that it uses Ajax to play back visitor actions on the live site, versus showing the actions in recorded movie format. This minimizes storage space and bandwidth needed, and allows them to offer their services for free.

In their own words: “It's an online service that records and plays back visitor sessions for nearly any website, corporate site or blog. The recorded sessions show how visitors interact with a website–every mouse movement and click, keystroke, where users click, how far down the page they scroll and how long they stay on a site.” Find out why it might be a killer and vote for this startup at KillerStartups.com.

  • Anyone tried this service? is it really good?
The concept seems a superb idea, but i would really like to know (first) what will this do to the performance of loading the pages of a website.

For now, i’m trying to access their website, but with no luck :|

  • Hi Jonix,

There should be very little if any performance hit to your users. The JS file is ~10K and should get cached. However, we’re experiencing much higher than expected and our servers are having trouble coping. We’re working around the clock to optimize the performance and hope to be back at 100% ASAP.

    Thanks!

    Andre.

  • If it’s really like your are promissing, i will be the first one to say HURRAY, andre. I’ll wait until you guys resolve all the problems. I must say at least, that this is a superb idea!

When do you think the service will be at 100% again?

  • Hi Jonix,
