ZCubes’ CuBee – All Means All!

Phil Butler

ZCubes announced the unveiling of their latest release CuBee at the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco. CuBee is an email system that allows users to send mail containing video, pictures, animations, marquees, graphs, vector images, text, and handwritten notes in any combination.

These CuBee messages can also be sent inside a digital envelope replete with emoticon annotation on the outside (cute). CuBee also sends messages either privately or publicly, and users can further personalize their messages by dragging them into their ZSpace. The CuBee mail capability is not the first of its kind but it is another perfect addition to the ZCubes experience.

David Wilkinson reviewed ZCubes a couple of times, pointing out the enhanced capability of the "browser in a browser" for Profy readers. This latest enhancement of the ZCubes portfolio simply rounds out an already sharp set of user services. I think that many sites will have to follow ZCubes in providing essentially everything for their users. All inclusive services tend to "water down" some of the smaller additions but CuBee does not appear to be in that category based on the suggested capability. I would like to know more about the capacity, and expect a CuBee mail covering this right after this post.

A trend towards "all inclusive" services is to be expected as so many entities vie for potential user attention. Advanced mail and IM services combined with rock solid community and creativity solutions will make sites like ZCubes the places to be this year. The ZCubes slogan "Do it all" reflects what many people want from their Web experience.
