Joost is Rolling to the Finish Line

Joost keeps hitting the content jackpot prior to their wildly anticipated launch late this month. The latest news is that Joost has just signed deals with Turner Broadcasting and Sony Pictures adding still more quality content for their online TV network.
We have tested and covered Joost from the beginning and still get requests for test tokens even though the public launch is around the corner. Joost is probably the most anticipated startup launch of 2007 and given the innovation and quality content I have seen it is no wonder.
Excellence seems to attract great names and content and Joost is no exception to this rule. The key to Joost is really the quality of their content and of course their unparalleled model for development and PR. According to a story by Newsfactor, this deal was announced along with Joost's availability commercially yesterday. The commercial availability simply means that Beta testers can invite anyone to use the system.
Sony content available on Joost will include Charlie's Angels and "Starsky and Hutch" according to the Newsfactor story.
The roundup for Joost so far is what we have come to expect from this great startup team and includes names like: Viacom, Warner Music Group, CBS Corp., Sony, Turner and advertising deals with Coca Cola, Procter and Gamble, Nike, Microsoft, and Visa.
The Joost site lists over 32 ad partners most of which are blue chip partners with the bustling new Web TV king.
I suppose I am going to be replying to another 43,000 emails, but everyone will soon have the chance to enjoy some of the most unique and interesting content possible on Web 2.0. Joost has left no stone unturned so far in their development as everything from the backend to new advertising models have been created or modified with the user in mind.
It is rewarding to report on startups that consistently progress and move to their next level. I am sure their launch will hold some surprises for everyone interested, which is apparently 90 percent of the Internet community.
