Webware Announces The Top 100 Winners!

Phil Butler,

Our friends at Me.dium and 99 other companies have won awards in Webware's Top 100. Me.dium and a prestigious list of finalists were chosen by the editors of Webware/CNET. The final winners have now been chosen by the site's users and visitors and Me.dium was one of 10 winners in the “Community” category chosen by readers from among the finalists. Webware editors reviewed more than 5000 entries before narrowing the field to 250 in 10 categories so that Web 2.0 could select their favorites.

Community Winners

We reported on the Me.dium finalist selection last month in which several of our favorite startups had also been chosen. The votes have now been tallied and Web 2.0 has selected their best of the best. The other winners in this category are: LinkedIn, Digg, Facebook, Bebo, DeviantArt, Friendster, Dogster/Catster, MySpace and Gaia Online.

Awards from one blog or another are not really such a big deal, but the people of the Web selecting their favorites is. The Webware Top 100 has provided the innovators and their constituency with an opportunity for the ultimate feedback.
