The First iPhone Ready to Go to the Winner
by
on July 16, 2007,
I am extremely happy to report the good news today: the first round of our iPhone contest is now completed and we have determined the winner (or rather you have determined the winner by discussing the article you found more thought-provoking). And the winner is Kris Ericson, author of the great article named ‘Web 2.0 Is Broken and Here's Why'. It looks like the key to success in the first round of our contest was controversy - the article really made many people share their thoughts on the current state and prospects of Web 2.0.
Right after I finish writing this post I will send Kris an email to congratulate him and ask for the info that I need to buy and send over to him his well-deserved iPhone. And I do hope that after the gadget is delivered to him he will agree to make a couple of photos of himself with his brand-new iPhone and permit me to publish them for you here - and I do believe for some of you it will be a good motivation to write down your own thoughts on Web 2.0 and its trends (send your articles over to iphone@profy.com for review and publication on Profy - all the published guest posts will participate in the contest).
In the meanwhile we have decided to prolong submission of articles to participate in the second round of the contest for 2 more weeks - until Sunday, August 5. The reason is quite simple: we have only published one guest article that is now participating in the contest and it looks like we need some competition to actually make it a contest. I feel like we need some intrigue here so all your submissions will be reviewed and published on Profy if found relevant. So go ahead, you have two more weeks to participate in the second round of the contest - and still 3 more rounds ahead with the total of 4 iPhones to give away this summer. Don't we all have something to say about Web 2.0?
