Second iPhone Ready to Go to the Winner
by
on August 06, 2007,
I am pleased to announce that we already have the second winner in our iPhone contest. And this time the prize goes to Allan Herman, Owner of Creative Visual Marketing Services, photography consultant and author of The Color Blind Photographer. For the contest Allan offered his Ramblings of a Mad Man describing his personal experience of a middle-aged adopter of Web 2.0 and the best things it has to offer. And it looks like in addition to being a talented photographer and writer Allan is a good adopter of social networking - after all, is not social networking all about inspiring conversation? So the post brought 35 comments from readers and I am very happy to congratulate Allan on his victory.
Allan's ramblings made many people rethink what Web 2.0 is all about and who can benefit from it - only the young people that are eager to consume everything web developers create or the grown-up and well-established professionals as well: those who can help their businesses grow using the state-of-the-art tools we now have. And it looks like in many cases professional use of Web 2.0 can result in incredibly exciting things, starting from meeting people you would never have met in your real life and in Allan's case ending with the opportunity to adapt such an advanced gadget iPhone is - and absolutely for free at that.
I would also like to thank all the participants of the second round of our contest and invite them to take part in the subsequent rounds with new stories that could give them a chance to win next time. And now that the winner is known I will arrange for Allan's iPhone to be delivered to him. In the meanwhile I have posted below some photos of our first winner Kris Erickson, author of Web 2.0 Is Broken and Here's Why unpacking his iPhone. Look, enjoy and start thinking of what you could share with our readers to be the next winner - we still have 3 iPhones to give away in the coming weeks.
