Rocketshotz - Easy Mobile Browsing

I am not a cell phone guru, but if you don't have an iPhone (or even if you do) - Rocekshotz is a cool service that can help you approximate one for free. Rocketshotz sets up a user's favorite mobile sites and transfers them to their phone in an “iPhone-like start page”. The Atlanta company started as a pet project to bring PC capability to the developer's cell. Rocketshotz is a cool tool for on-the-go users that reduces the needless input of URL's and there are literally hundreds of compatible websites already supported.

Rocketshotz is simply designed to make mobile browsing easier - period. Users just create an account and start organizing their favorite content online - then upload it to their mobile device. The phone interface is icon based and consists of 9 basic icons (5 of which are configurable). Users choose what they want to customize (categories) and then select what they want to show up in their Rocketshotz areas (icons). Another cool aspect of Rocketshotz (at least it seems cool to me) is that there are many cool sites in the searchable database that I have never heard of. Choosing between the hundreds available might be the biggest problem users face. Once the user chooses their sites - a simple upload to their mobile device updates their icons.

You have to like simple services that save time and money. Everything does not have to be rocket science to be good and Rocketshotz should be a big hit with the mobile crowd. The website is easy to discover and adding services is as flawless as can be. Click - add - upload and use is about as easy as it gets and these guys must be in tune with the frenzied and the lazy to have come up with something this cool. Their site also has a wealth of mobile Internet information and (as I mentioned) sites for everything from news to cooking. Object oriented browsing without laying out hundreds of dollars - what could be better for mobile users?
