Earlier today things got absolutely crazy with Google stock traded on NASDAQ. Throughout the day the price was quite strong and even gaining after Monday’s drop and suddenly 5 minutes before the closure it first jumped from $413 to $470 and then fell to $249 (see the graph on the left based on the minute-by-minute breakdown by Silicon Alley Insider). |

This morning analysts from both Morgan Stanley and RBC downgraded their recommendations on Apple stock which resulted in tremendous fall of Apple’s stock by almost 18% or $22.98 to reach $105.26 at closing. This made the market valuation of Apple almost $20 billion lower. |

Today Cisco has published results of a survey that the company conducted to see customers’ attitude towards different shopping and payment trends - both online and offline. I like checking out current Twitter trends from time to time to see what topics get the most attention in the twitterverse. While Google Trends are also interesting and often show some very interesting things about what is popular among internet population on any given day, the most popular topics on Twitter are also interesting to see how a smaller and more technology-aware crowd reacts to some events in the real or online life. |

Yesterday we saw the first niche website launched by Twitter - Twitter E08 focused on presidential election campaign in the US. The website works by simply filtering twitter messages (tweets) from all users by certain keywords and aggregate these messages into one page. The site is updated with new topical messages in real time. |
