BuzzLogic’s Conversations Ads Network out of Beta and Accepts Bloggers

Back in June BuzzLogic, the company that acquired the popular browser extension BlogRovR earlier this year, launched its own blog advertising network in private beta where only select bloggers were accepted. Today is the day when they are exiting the beta mode and accept applications from all bloggers interested in a quality online advertising solution for their blogs.
During the beta testing period BuzzLogic’s blog network attracted about 500 blogs - mainly small and medium-sized niche blogs that they saw good potential in. Now BuzzLogic is opening its Conversation Ads Network to everyone interested in earning the guaranteed $2 CPM rate per banner which is definitely not bad, even if it’s for US traffic only, especially when compared to what the vast majority of bloggers earn with AdSense. Since the guaranteed rate is definitely an appealing one, I’d expect many bloggers applying to add their pageviews for the network’s sales staff to market to interested advertisers.
There is one difference about BuzzLogic as a company that can ensure success for its ad network: their main product is a brand tracking system for marketing and PR people so BuzzLogic is already a familiar name for the best brands already using the system. The next logical step for such brands is supposed to be buying some banners on those same blogs that they track their companies’ mentions on. For potential advertisers it means that they can use BuzzLogic first to track how and where people talk about their companies, evaluate the influence these people have and buy ads on their blogs to reach their readers if they are the company’s target audience as well.
The only potential problem that I see here is how efficient the network is in ensuring decent fill rates for bloggers. After all, it is obvious that they will have tons of blogs enlisted now that the network is accepting new applications from bloggers but attracting advertisers is a very different thing that requires immense efforts and good ROI enjoyed by other advertisers that they can use as examples of the network efficiency.
I honestly hope that BuzzLogic will succeed in building a system that will really help connecting good blogs enjoying influence within their niches with quality brand advertisers trying to reach audiences of those bloggers. After all, there are not so many good blog monetization solutions in the market and a huge number of worthy blogs deserving someone to take care of monetizing all the hard work involved in building the reputation and influence for a blog.

Even most of the top bloggers struggle to monetize a blog by means other than direct advertising sales. Buzzlogic looks like pretty good product and I’m definitely going to look into it for my blogs.
