Preordered HTC G1 Phone from T-Mobile? Chances Are It Will Be Delivered on Friday

Today we seem to have some great news for all the T-Mobile customers who have preordered their first ever Android-powered G1 phones by HTC - and the news is possible delivery of your phones well ahead of the scheduled October 22.
The thing is that some of the people who preordered their phones from T-Mobile after the presentation noticed that the order status shows as shipped with the scheduled delivery date this Friday - 5 days before the initially announced date of October 22 when the phone will hit the stores.
Judging by the comments on the blog posts about the pending deliveries of the G1 phone, the delivery date for every customer will depend on how far he or she is located from the distribution centers.
Those who preordered G1 can check the delivery status on the UPS website in the ‘Track by Reference’ section using your phone number as a reference number (it should be entered with dashes, for example 123-456-7890). Calling T-Mobile representatives does not seem to work and you will hardly ever get any tracking code from them - just don’t forget to use the tracking by reference option as it is your phone that is used as a reference here.
