PayPal has been down for two days. TWO DAYS. The PayPal development blog gives Wednesday or THURSDAY as an estimate of when the service might be back to functioning normally: an estimate of 6 or 7 days without service, which includes bringing subscription payments to a halt, actually, a good percentage of payment transactions to a halt. |

In case you haven't heard, NBC & News Corp. recently received $100 million in venture funding from Providence Equity Partners, a Rhode Island-based investment firm that specializes in the media and communications industries. This money, according to the New York Times, "will allow the companies to accelerate the introduction of their service and the transfer of NBC and Fox films and television shows into Internet-friendly video formats." |

It seems to me that iPhoneDevCamp was much more successful than I expected, especially for an event planned at the last minute. Nearly 400 developers, testers and iPhone owners showed up at the event that gathered at the San Francisco office of Adobe. Several photos were taken at the event and a keynote presentation was shown to the attendees. Several sponsors were also present at this event, where not all the programs were finished over the weekend, but several innovative creations [...] |

On Monday Apple made its Safari Web browser available for Windows based PC's. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple made the announcement at the company's World Wide Developers Conference opening up yet another venue for competition with rival Microsoft. Wall Street was not overly impressed at the news and Apple shares dropped by $4.30 after the news. The new Beta version of Safari is available at Apple's home site.
