So the first day of G1 phone for T-Mobile official shipping is coming to its end soon and the first owners have already started playing with their shiny new toys (well, maybe not exactly shiny but at least new and supposedly rewarding in terms of software). |

Last week we reported that T-Mobile had a nice surprise for the T-Mobile subscribers who preordered the G1 phone before it starts shipping officially this week by delivering the phones earlier than the customers hoped. It is understandable that many such customers anticipated the delivery in excitement. |

It is always a little funny to watch people constantly compare iPhone with the first ever phone powered with Google’s Android operating system - the G1 manufactured by HTC for T-Mobile. People continue setting the two devices against each other like these comparisons actually make sense while in reality they don’t: iPhone is the device manufactured by Apple while Android is an operating system that can be (and will eventually be) installed on any new device by any manufacturer. |

Back in September T-Mobile presented a long-awaited first phone manufactured by HTC and powered with Google’s Android mobile operating system. We were offered some images and videos of what the phone was capable of doing and those present at the T-Mobile event in New York were able to take a closer look and play with the gadget for a while. |

On September 23 T-Mobile officially presented the first phone powered with Google’s Android mobile operating system. The phone is scheduled to start shipping on October 22 and T-Mobile has invited existing subscribers to preorder the phone right after the presentation to have it delivered when it is available. |
