There’s a very funny story today that seems to prove to me that lack of fact checking and attention to details should not be discussed as a fault only bloggers should be accused of as it looks like even huge and reputable media organizations like CNN sometimes make mistakes that seem to be absolutely inappropriate - especially for them. |

And since it is hardly arguable that the financial crisis is partly due to panic and irrational behavior of traders and investors, this issue definitely deserves our attention and consideration from [...] |

I may be paranoid or something but I have a feeling that there is something very suspicious going on in the spam empire. You may remember that this week we have discussed news about a hosting company that powered numerous spammers and scammers disconnected from the internet. What’s more, we were told that we should see the number of junk letters in our email inboxes dropped by at least two thirds as a result - at least until the spammers [...] |
To Link or Not To Link? Is It Really Such a Big Question?
by
on November 14, 2008

The never-ending love of the blogosphere to the issue of linking to other blogs and failing to link when you really-really should is just plain amazing to me - we seem to never get tired of the entire meme and there is always some blogger or reporter who forgets to link back to the source where a link is due - and it starts all over again. Or a blogger does not link back intentionally - and it gets even [...] |

Last week I had a chance to speak with the team at Artiklz, a San Francisco based startup that is officially debuting in public alpha tomorrow at the Web 2.0 Expo in Berlin. The startup works in the blog commenting field and the first thing I thought was that the field was over-saturated already and did not need yet another player to add to Disqus, recently acquired by Automattic IntenseDebate or JS-Kit. |

Today citizens of Kazakhstan and even the adjacent Kirgizia for some reason have not managed to access LiveJournal blogging platform entirely. Since both countries are still very much influenced by Russia and Russian culture, LiveJournal is also a very popular blogging platform there same as it is here in Russia so this is an important event for bloggers from the two countries. |
