It looks like documents sharing is a hot trend these days with another startup launching today at DEMOfall to allow any web user to store at a centralized location, manage and share all the documents at a level of enterprise applications. One of the companies debuting a new product today at the DEMOfall event is RealNetworks which demonstrates a new DVD copying software RealDVD. Priced at $30, the application is intended to make copies of movies from DVDs to PC - claiming to actually do it legally.
The claim is based on the fact that when copying a DVD the software actually creates a secure copy of the entire disk, even preserving the CSS encryption.

When I saw the announcement for TechCrunch50 (or whatever number Michael Arrington and Jason Calcanis end up changing it to), I let out a little gasp, but I'm not sure why I was surprised. It took me a little while to digest that they were so blatant as to schedule the dates for their start-up launch event right on top of DEMO's fall dates.

DEMOfall 07 rocks steady with some great debuts including a YourTrumanShow widget - VideoMap. VideoMap links friends and their videos across several social networks including Facebook and MySpace. The intuitive, embeddable widget is a graphical relationship map that renders a graphical representation of video collections. Feedhub is being introduced at DEMOfall 07 beginning today. This next generation information tool allows users to personalize and improve popular feed readers. Feedhub will essentially cut through the mass confusion of overwhelming data to deliver relevant stories to readers.
