Yahoo Buzz was launched back in February for a select group of publishers that were manually added to the system by Yahoo’s team (they started with 100 and eventually reached 400 publishers). While absolutely anyone with a Yahoo account could submit stories from the supported publishers and vote them up or down, it was not possible to submit a story if it did not originate from one of those supported publishers. |

Though I would hardly call it a vice nowadays, gaming is very much an active hobby of mine. There is so little positive news from China these days and this is particularly true with regard to Web news. Censorship, hacking, prostitution issues and a host of other maladies seem to be plaguing China and its Internet. Just today it was reported that a man dropped dead in a Chinese cyber café after playing some online game for three days straight. Wikia is currently home to a great number of popular video gaming communities like Starcraft, Final Fantasy and Halo. Wikia Co-Founder Jimmy Wales demonstrated the new Wikia/Playxpert in-game toolbar at Wikimania Taipei last week. The toolbar allows users to search, read and contribute to Wikia's gaming community from inside the games.
