Isn't this just the flurry of social gaming news we've had in the last few days? My penchant has been more than satisfied. Though Scrabble creator Hasbro decided to throw a small temper tantrum, known as a "lawsuit," about Scrabulous' rather blantant copy of the popular boardgame for the web, the folks responsible for Scrabulous rallied back and took some precautious measures to make sure the good people of social media wouldn't be without their word game for too long. |

There couldn't be a better time for the intertubes to erupt in controversy over social games than the day after I post on the merits of real casual gaming in social media versus the self-proclaimed phenomenon of casual gaming, Nintendo's Wii. Hasbro Wants To Wipe The Board Of FaceBook Favorite Scrabulous

I have to start with a confession: I am a die-hard Scrabble lover in real life, but a Scrabulous-only player online. Hasbro introduced a Scrabble FaceBook application after Scrabulous spent vast amounts of time wiping the floor with them by having theirs up first. Frankly, Hasbro, your application is too little, too late and not as much fun to play. |
