RockMe is a five day music festival designed to allow fans to interact with artists and industry gurus. In case you haven't heard, NBC & News Corp. recently received $100 million in venture funding from Providence Equity Partners, a Rhode Island-based investment firm that specializes in the media and communications industries. This money, according to the New York Times, "will allow the companies to accelerate the introduction of their service and the transfer of NBC and Fox films and television shows into Internet-friendly video formats." |

Today Me.dium is announcing full compatibility with IE-7. Me.dium has been available for Firefox and Flock since February and the Explorer version has been much anticipated. In addition, the developers have created a widget that applies Me.dium's “real time” window to blogs and other pages. |

Our friends at Me.dium and 99 other companies have won awards in Webware's Top 100. Me.dium and a prestigious list of finalists were chosen by the editors of Webware/CNET. The final winners have now been chosen by the site's users and visitors and Me.dium was one of 10 winners in the “Community” category chosen by readers from among the finalists. Webware editors reviewed more than 5000 entries before narrowing the field to 250 in 10 categories so that Web 2.0 [...] |
Me.dium Awarded $15 Million in Series B

Me.dium has just announced receiving $15 million in series B funding from various venture partners. According to our communique with Me.dium this round of investing was led by Commonwealth Venture Partners. Me.dium's existing investors Spark Capital, Appian Ventures and Brad Feld also took part in what is to be the driving push to open the doors to one of the year's most anticipated betas. This latest round brings Me.dium's total funding to $20 million since their June, 2006 founding. |

iStalkr Go Go 2.0 Gadget

I got clued to a pretty cool gadget called iStalkr last night, so this morning I thought our readers should have the look at this new startup. The site is a feed aggregator in Beta testing that is supposed to stalk others obviously. I don't want to be too hard on the "spanking" new tool but it is pretty stark at the moment even by the developer's standards. |
