Earlier this year – in spring, or Q2, to be more precise – the world witnessed the debut of MySpaceTV's first serial, called “Prom Queen,” which was broken into 90-second-episode snippets and ran for north of a month's time.
And just a week ago, the social network announced the launch of its second episodic production, “Roommates,” an ongoing, scripted, viewer-influenced drama occurring over the course of 45 weekdays.

MySpace Debuts Today New Post-Collegiate Drama, ‘Roommates’

MySpaceTV, News Corp’s answer to YouTube, announced early this morning that it will today debut a serial program, called “Roommates,” which it will divvy out to the social network’s multi-million-strong viewership over the course of some 45 days (weekdays only) in brief three-minute snippets. Each new episode will be shown on MySpaceTV starting at 4pm EST, Monday through Friday.

Back in the day ? last spring, to be more precise ? we brought you a bit of news on a certain serial production created specifically for MySpacers. It was a project (later deemed a success by it?s creators, I might add) called ?Prom Queen,? and had quite a bit of publicity going into its debut.

Remember when Newscorp’s MySpace bought Photobucket? Yeah, yeah, after they hit that rough patch, when both parties stated publicly that they pretty much wanted nothing of one another and wished to be left alone to weep in their respective corners.
