I received my much anticipated invitation to Powerset's Powerlabs the other day, and was excited to finally get an inside peek one of the years most interesting startups. I have covered Powerset many times since my first article back in January. On a slow news day I stumbled across a great find at the Museum of modern betas (MOMB). Tubecaset.tv is an Internet video/TV startup in alpha testing. This sexy little development essentially grabs content from other sites like YouTube and my old buddy Dmitry at Veoh and layers an user interface atop the content. The simplicity and elegance of the site are quite grabbing, and best of all anyone can enjoy it now. |
Joost Goes Public: It’s Updated But Still Needs Help

It has been more than 5 months since I first began testing the invite-only beta of Joost. Today now officially marks the public launch of the online television service, and Joost proudly claims on their mildly redesigned homepage that they have accumulated 250+ channels and 15,000+ TV shows. |
