When Google acquired YouTube we all predicted that Google would have lots of copyright problems with owners of content uploaded to the video sharing website illegally. But it has proven that recently YouTube is frequently mentioned in relation to various countries blocking access to YouTube for their citizens due to their dissatisfaction with YouTube's content. Pentagon Blocked Access to Entertainment Sites

It looks like Pentagon further restricts the way military personnel uses the world wide web. Military personnel and civilian employees will not be able to access YouTube, MySpace, Pandora, Photobucket, hi5, metacafe and several other “recreational Internet sites” (I like the term, by the way) when they are using the Department of Defense network. We got a nice note from Twango asking us to check out their latest tweaks and features. It has been some time since our last review, so we checked it out for you guys. Twango has become a very popular media sharing site that allows users to upload photos, video or other files and then the ability to quickly embed the media into blogs and other sites. |

Kyte.tv went live Monday the 23rd as promised by Daniel Graf the founder. Kyte is a Splashcast type startup that allows users to broadcast content, display photos, music and other favorite media on their sites. Channels on Kyte.tv can be enabled with live chat and are viewable via a scroll menu below the player. Kyte is the most feature laden service of its type by far. |

Pandora.TV, South Korea's top ranked video sharing site just secured Series B financing in the amount of $10 million from DCM, a Silicon Valley VC firm. Existing investors Altos Ventures, STIC and Saehan Ventures also participated in this round. This funding is earmarked to support the Pandora's rapid growth and expand its service offerings. |

Today I got a scoop from a credible source in the financial industry that gofish.com has hired JMP Securities of San Francisco effectively to attempt to buy WeWin - the incentive based video sharing community. The source told me that WeWin's rewards program fills a void that exists in gofish's current platform.
