DivX, a growing video compression software company, has announced that it has signed a two-year deal with Yahoo! that replaces a previous similar agreement DivX had with Google, according to Tom Huntington, a spokesperson for DivX. |

More news from video sharing services - this time about money. Today I got a scoop from a credible source in the financial industry that gofish.com has hired JMP Securities of San Francisco effectively to attempt to buy WeWin - the incentive based video sharing community. The source told me that WeWin's rewards program fills a void that exists in gofish's current platform. We recently reviewed a site called WeWin.com where users are rewarded for sharing and viewing video. We really like the site, with a few reservations, as the incentive based community is innovative and entertaining. In a press release by Market Wire - February 5, WeWin and Mondera announced a campaign that would award $5000 in gift certificates redeemable at Modera.com during the month of February.
