Sure, Yahoo-Google advertising deal to put Google ads right in search results pages on Yahoo Search has been one of the most discussed topics lately. Anti-trust authorities both in the US and Europe are investigating the deal to determine if it will damage competitive environment both in the online advertising industry (where two ad networks will start to cooperate instead of competing) and in search since for Yahoo it will be more and more difficult to compete with its own [...] |

It is no surprise that companies care about their public images and how people feel about their products. Quite understandably, if a company has some notable achievements to be proud of, it will brag about them - in press releases, in interviews and everywhere people will be willing to listen. But recently I have bumped into an example of such bragging that made me laugh for a few minutes about the “fun facts” that Yahoo uses to make everyone believe [...] |

Back in June Google and Yahoo announced an advertising deal that was supposed to help Yahoo resist Microsoft takeover by adding a very substantial revenue stream. I am sure that I will not exaggerate if I say every internet user is more than tired of getting constant notifications of winning a few thousand dollars or even a nice million in an email lottery. I remember first time I received such a notification myself (stating that I won 200 thousand dollars in Yahoo! Mail lottery) - my heart jumped and I started fantasizing about how exactly I could invest this money not to have to continue with [...] |

Now we hear the news that Yahoo Mash will be closed some time today. It has been announced by Yahoo! in an email all the users of the social network have received. In the email Yahoo! Team thanks everyone for participating in the beta test of the social network and invites to copy all the content we may want to keep to a separate document. I don’t have any content over there anyway and I don’t really think many users [...] |

Today comScore released a press release detailing its statistics on online display advertising in June - both largest publishers and largest advertisers.
